You must drop the seeds in the seed drill, and then use the vehicle controls to turn on the seed drill. Each time the vehicle moves, it will drop 1 seed onto the tile under the drill. If there is tilled soil there, it will plant it instead.
Activating a seed drill consumes a fair bit of engine power and moving across tilled earth will slow a vehicle down. A vehicle using a seed drill will generally want at least an Inline-4 engine to operate correctly.
