A simple tripwire is attached to the trigger of a loaded crossbow. When pulled, the crossbow fires. Only a single round can be used, after which the trap is disabled.
The bolt will always be recoverable if it misses the target; if it hits, there's a 10% chance that the bolt will be lost.
